The Microsoft Surface Duo has a global score of 78.8, which is a little bit better than the Moto X (2014)'s 73.4 global score. Microsoft Surface Duo's design is a lot newer and noticeably thinner than the Moto X (2014)'s, but it is also incredibly heavier. These devices have Android OS (Operating System), but the Microsoft Surface Duo has the newer 10 version and Moto X (2014) has Android 5.0, offering lots of additional features and performance improvements.

Microsoft Surface Duo has a little faster CPU than Moto X (2014), because although it has doesn't have an extra GPU, it also counts with a greater number of cores and a larger amount of RAM. Moto X (2014) has a much better looking screen than Microsoft Surface Duo, because although it has a way worse 1920 x 1080 resolution and a way smaller display, it also counts with a just a bit more pixels per screen inch.

The Moto X (2014) captures clearer videos and photos than Microsoft Surface Duo, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture and slower 30 frames per second video frame rate, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the Moto X (2014) also counts with a higher resolution back-facing camera.

The Microsoft Surface Duo counts with much more memory capacity for games and applications than Moto X (2014), because it has 128 GB internal memory capacity. The Microsoft Surface Duo features a much longer battery duration than Moto X (2014), because it has a 56 percent bigger battery size.

Although Microsoft Surface Duo is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Moto X (2014), and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Moto X (2014). So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Microsoft Surface Duo, else you can save some money and buy the Moto X (2014), resigning a couple specs and features.
