The Motorola Edge 20 has an overall score of 86.1, which is much better than the Moto X (2014)'s 73.4 global score. Both devices in this review have Android operating system, but Motorola Edge 20 has a more recent 11 version and Moto X (2014) has Android 5.0, giving some extra features. Motorola Edge 20's design is newer and noticeably thinner than the Moto X (2014)'s, although it is heavier.

The Moto X (2014) has a much better looking screen than Motorola Edge 20, because although it has a lot smaller display and a little bit lower resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, it also counts with a quite better count of pixels in each screen inch. The Motorola Edge 20 counts with just a little better performance than Motorola Moto X (2014), because although it has doesn't have an extra GPU, it also counts with more RAM and a higher number of cores (although slower).

The Motorola Edge 20 counts with a superior storage capacity for applications and games than Motorola Moto X (2014), because it has 96 GB more internal memory. Motorola Edge 20 features a superior battery life than Motorola Moto X (2014), because it has a 4000mAh battery size. The Motorola Edge 20 captures greater pictures and videos than Moto X (2014), and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Motorola Edge 20 also has a camera with much more megapixels and a larger aperture to take better photography and video in low-light environments.
