Moto G 5G is much better than the Moto X (2014), with an 81.5 score against 73.4. Both devices in this review have Android OS (operating system), but Moto G 5G has a more recent 10 version and Moto X (2014) has Android 5.0 version, so it gives lots of additional features. The Moto G 5G design has the same thickness than Moto X (2014), but it is heavier.
The Motorola Moto X (2014) has a much better looking display than Motorola Moto G 5G, because although it has a quite lower 1920 x 1080 resolution and a really smaller screen, it also counts with a quite higher display pixel density. The Moto G 5G counts with a much greater storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Moto X (2014), because it has 32 GB more internal memory and a SD memory slot that admits a maximum of 1000 GB.
The Moto X (2014) counts with just a little better performance than Moto G 5G, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM and an inferior number of cores , it also counts with an additional graphics co-processor. Moto G 5G has a much better battery life than Moto X (2014), because it has a 117% greater battery capacity.
The Moto G 5G shoots much better photographs and videos than Moto X (2014), and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Moto G 5G also has a lot bigger aperture for better low light photography and a much higher 48 mega pixels resolution back facing camera.
