The Moto G8 Plus has a score of 77.6, which is a little bit better than the Motorola Moto X (2014)'s 73.4 global score. Even though the Moto G8 Plus is noticeably heavier than Motorola Moto X (2014), it's just a little bit thinner and also newer. The Moto X (2014) has a bit better performance than Moto G8 Plus, because although it has lesser cores and a lower amount of RAM, it also counts with an additional graphics processing unit.

The Motorola Moto X (2014) has a brighter screen than Moto G8 Plus, because although it has a bit worse 1920 x 1080 resolution and a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a little better pixels density. Moto G8 Plus counts with a way better camera than Moto X (2014), and although they both have the same 30 fps video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Moto G8 Plus also has a lot bigger aperture to take better low light captures, a way better 48 megapixels resolution camera in the back and a much bigger sensor which offers a lot higher image and video quality.

Motorola Moto G8 Plus counts with much more storage capacity for apps and games than Motorola Moto X (2014), because it has 64 GB internal memory and a slot for SD memory cards that admits up to 512 GB. The Moto G8 Plus counts with a way better battery performance than Moto X (2014), because it has a 4000mAh battery size instead of 2300mAh.
