Motorola Moto G9 Play is a bit better than the Motorola Moto X (2014), having a 76.7 score against 73.4. These devices use Android OS (Operating System), but Motorola Moto G9 Play has a more recent 10 version and Motorola Moto X (2014) has Android 5.0 version, so it offers a lot of extra features and enhanced performance. The Motorola Moto G9 Play construction is incredibly newer and a bit thinner, but also incredibly heavier than Motorola Moto X (2014).

Moto X (2014) features a bit more powerful processor than Motorola Moto G9 Play, because although it has an inferior number of cores (but faster) and a smaller amount of RAM, it also counts with a graphics processor. Moto X (2014) features a way better screen than Motorola Moto G9 Play, because although it has a lot smaller screen, it also counts with a better 1920 x 1080px resolution and a way better pixel quantity per screen inch.

Moto G9 Play shoots much better pictures and videos than Motorola Moto X (2014), and although they both have the same video definition, the Moto G9 Play also has a back camera with lot more mega pixels, a lot bigger camera aperture for better images and video in low-light environments, faster 60 frames per second video frame rates and a way larger back camera sensor taking much higher quality videos and photographs.

The Moto G9 Play counts with a lot bigger storage capacity for applications and games than Moto X (2014), because it has more internal storage and a SD memory card expansion slot that supports a maximum of 512 GB. The Moto G9 Play features a very superior battery lifetime than Motorola Moto X (2014), because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity.
