Samsung Galaxy M30 has a general score of 82.4, which is much better than the Motorola Moto X (2014)'s overall score of 73.4. Both devices in this review come with Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy M30 has 9.0 Pie version while Motorola Moto X (2014) has Android 5.0, so it provides some additional features. Although Samsung Galaxy M30 is heavier than the Motorola Moto X (2014), it's thinner and noticeably newer.
The Moto X (2014) counts with just a little better performance than Samsung Galaxy M30, because although it has lesser cores and lesser RAM memory, it also counts with an extra graphics processing unit. The Motorola Moto X (2014) features a more vivid screen than Galaxy M30, because although it has a bit worse resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a just a bit greater pixel density.
Samsung Galaxy M30 features a superior storage to store more games and applications than Moto X (2014), because it has a slot for an SD memory card that allows up to 512 GB and 128 GB internal storage. Moto X (2014) captures just a bit better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy M30, because although it has a smaller aperture, and they both have a camera in the back with a 13 MP resolution, the Moto X (2014) also counts with a bigger back camera sensor and a much higher (4K) video quality.
Galaxy M30 counts with a much longer battery duration than Motorola Moto X (2014), because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity against 2300mAh.
