The Xperia 1 III is way better than Moto X (2014), having a 93.3 score against 73.4. Both devices we are comparing come with Android OS (operating system), but Xperia 1 III has newer 11 version while Moto X (2014) has Android 5.0, so it offers some nice extra features and enhanced performance. Xperia 1 III's construction is incredibly newer and somewhat thinner than Moto X (2014)'s, but it's also notably heavier.

Xperia 1 III features a little better performance than Moto X (2014), because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processing unit, it also counts with 4 more processing cores and a higher amount of RAM. Xperia 1 III features just a bit better looking display than Motorola Moto X (2014), because it has a lot higher resolution of 1644 x 3840, a lot greater screen pixel density and a bigger screen.

Sony Xperia 1 III has much more storage capacity for games and applications than Moto X (2014), because it has 224 GB more internal storage capacity and a SD memory card expansion slot that allows up to 1 TB. Xperia 1 III has a superior camera than Moto X (2014), because although it has a worse 3840x2160 video quality and a back camera with less megapixels resolution, it also counts with a much bigger sensor and a much bigger aperture.
