The Moto Z2 Play has a general score of 77.4, which is better than the Moto X's general score of 69.3. The Moto Z2 Play design is much newer and way thinner, but heavier than the Moto X. Moto Z2 Play has a little bit better hardware performance than Motorola Moto X, because although it has doesn't have a GPU, it also counts with more CPU cores and a larger amount of RAM memory.
The Moto X features a little bit better display than Motorola Moto Z2 Play, although it has a little bit smaller screen, a quite lower pixel density and a lot worse 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. The Motorola Moto Z2 Play counts with a much greater memory capacity for games and applications than Moto X, because it has 64 GB internal storage and a slot for an external memory card that allows a maximum of 1,95 TB.
The Moto Z2 Play counts with longer battery duration than Moto X, because it has a 36% more battery size. Moto Z2 Play has a bit better camera than Moto X, because it has a more mega-pixels camera in the back, a lot bigger camera aperture for better low light photos and video and a way higher video resolution.
The Moto Z2 Play is a bit more expensive than Moto X, but it's still a great choice, because you can get a much better phone for that extra money.
