Huawei P40 is a lot better than the Motorola Moto X Play, with an 86.4 score against 70.4. These phones use Android operating system, but the Huawei P40 has a more recent 10 version and Motorola Moto X Play has Android 5.1 version, giving you some extra features and optimized performance. The Huawei P40 construction is way newer and a lot thinner than the Motorola Moto X Play's, although it's a bit heavier.
