The Motorola Edge 40 design is notably newer, notably thinner and a little lighter than Moto X Pure Edition (2015). The Motorola Moto X Pure Edition (2015) has a lot better performance than Motorola Edge 40, although it has less RAM and 2 less cores.

Motorola Edge 40 features a slightly better looking display than Motorola Moto X Pure Edition (2015), because although it has a quite lower resolution of 1080 x 2400px and a quite lower number of pixels per display inch, it also counts with a little bigger screen.
