Moto G8 Plus is just a bit better than Motorola Moto X Pure Edition (2015), getting a 77.6 score against 74.1. Moto G8 Plus's design is incredibly newer and thinner than the Motorola Moto X Pure Edition (2015)'s, but it is just a bit heavier. The Moto G8 Plus counts with a bit better processor than Moto X Pure Edition (2015), because it has 2 more CPU cores and more RAM.

The Motorola Moto X Pure Edition (2015) features a bit more vivid screen than Moto G8 Plus, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a higher 1440 x 2560 resolution and a better pixel density. The Moto G8 Plus takes much clearer photographs and videos than Moto X Pure Edition (2015), and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same video quality, the Moto G8 Plus also has a back facing camera with a much better 48 megapixels resolution, a larger camera sensor which provides a higher photo and video quality and a bigger camera aperture for better low light photography and video.

The Moto G8 Plus has more memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Motorola Moto X Pure Edition (2015), and although they both have equal internal memory capacity, the Moto G8 Plus also has a SD card slot that admits up to 512 GB. The Moto G8 Plus counts with improved battery life than Motorola Moto X Pure Edition (2015), because it has a 33 percent more battery capacity.
