Google Pixel 4a is better than the Moto X4, having a score of 82.9 against 74.4. Even though the Google Pixel 4a is just a little bit thicker than Moto X4, it's somewhat lighter and a lot newer. Google Pixel 4a features a little bit better screen than Motorola Moto X4, because it has a little bit greater pixels amount per inch in the display, a bit larger screen and a quite better 1080 x 2340px resolution.

Google Pixel 4a costs more money than the Moto X4, but you can get a better phone for that extra dollars.
