Motorola Edge 40 has an overall score of 77.2, which is a bit better than Motorola Moto X4's 74.4 overall score. The Motorola Edge 40 design is a lot newer and just a bit thinner than Motorola Moto X4's, although it's also a bit heavier. The Motorola Edge 40 counts with a bit better screen than Moto X4, because although it has a little lower display density, it also counts with a little bit higher 1080 x 2400px resolution and a larger screen.

Motorola Moto X4 counts with a much powerful processor than Motorola Edge 40, although it has a lower amount of RAM, they both have the same number of cores. The Motorola Edge 40 captures much better videos and photos than Moto X4, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same (4K) video quality, the Motorola Edge 40 also has a lot bigger sensor which offers a much higher image and video quality, a way larger aperture and a lot more mega-pixels camera.

The Motorola Moto X4 features a lot bigger storage capacity to install applications and games than Motorola Edge 40, because although it has less internal memory capacity, it also counts with a SD memory slot that admits up to 1,95 TB. Motorola Edge 40 features a much better battery lifetime than Moto X4, because it has a 4400mAh battery capacity.
