Comparison review

The Moto Z3 Play is a little bit better than Moto X4, getting a overall score of 76.3 against 74.4. Although Moto Z3 Play and the Moto X4 were released only 8 months apart, Moto Z3 Play is a bit lighter and somewhat thinner. Moto X4 counts with a little better performance than Moto Z3 Play, although it has a lower amount of RAM, they both have a Octa-Core processor.

Motorola Moto X4 counts with a little sharper screen than Moto Z3 Play, because although it has a little bit smaller screen and a little lower resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, it also counts with a little bit better pixels count in each display inch. Motorola Moto Z3 Play counts with a quite bigger memory to install games and applications than Moto X4, and although they both have a slot for SD memory cards that supports a maximum of 1,95 TB, the Motorola Moto Z3 Play also has 64 GB internal memory capacity.

The Moto X4 captures a bit better pictures and videos than Moto Z3 Play, although it has a smaller aperture, they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, a same resolution back-facing camera, the same sensor size and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates. The Motorola Moto Z3 Play features a battery lifetime that's just as good as Motorola Moto X4's battery performance.

Although Moto Z3 Play is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Moto X4, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Moto X4. If you want to save some dollars, you can buy the Moto X4, giving up a few features and specs, but you will get the most with your money.
