Comparison review
Xperia XZ2 Premium has a score of 82.2, which is much better than Moto X4's global score of 74.4. Xperia XZ2 Premium's body is newer than Moto X4's, but it's noticeably thicker and much heavier. The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium has a bit superior processing unit than Moto X4, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium also has 3 GB more RAM memory.
The Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with an incredibly better looking display than Moto X4, because it has a lot higher resolution of 2160 x 3840px, a much higher pixels density and a bit bigger screen. Moto X4 has a greater storage to install applications and games than Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, because although it has less internal memory, it also counts with an external SD slot that supports a maximum of 1,95 TB.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium has a slightly better camera than Moto X4, and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 video definition, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium also has a back facing camera with a way better resolution, a bigger diafragm aperture and a larger camera sensor.
Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium features better battery lifetime than Moto X4, because it has a 3540mAh battery capacity instead of 3000mAh.
Although Xperia XZ2 Premium is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Motorola Moto X4, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Motorola Moto X4. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Xperia XZ2 Premium, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Motorola Moto X4, letting go some features and specs.
