LG G8 ThinQ is better than the Moto Z Droid Edition, having a general score of 84.3 against 75.6. Both of these devices come with Android operating system, but LG G8 ThinQ has a newer 9.0 Pie version and Moto Z Droid Edition has Android 7.1 Nougat, so it gives you some extra features.
