Moto G9 Play is a bit better than Motorola Moto Z Droid Edition, getting a global score of 76.7 against 75.6. Both phones in this comparison work with Android OS (Operating System), but the Moto G9 Play has 10 version while Motorola Moto Z Droid Edition has Android 7.1 Nougat version. Moto G9 Play's construction is incredibly newer, but noticeably thicker and a lot heavier than Motorola Moto Z Droid Edition.

Moto G9 Play features a little faster processor than Moto Z Droid Edition, and although they both have 4 GB of RAM, the Moto G9 Play also has a larger number of cores. Motorola Moto Z Droid Edition counts with a much better looking screen than Moto G9 Play, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a lot higher 1440 x 2560 resolution and a much higher display pixel density.

Moto Z Droid Edition has a much bigger memory to install games and applications than Moto G9 Play, and although they both have equal internal storage capacity, the Moto Z Droid Edition also has a SD card slot that holds up to 1,95 TB. Moto G9 Play counts with a much longer battery lifetime than Moto Z Droid Edition, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity instead of 2600mAh.
