Moto Z3 has a global score of 77.6, which is just a bit better than the Moto Z Droid Edition's global score of 75.6. Both phones in this review include Android OS (Operating System), but Moto Z3 has a newer 9.0 Pie version and Moto Z Droid Edition has Android 7.1 Nougat. The Moto Z3 body is noticeably newer than the Moto Z Droid Edition's, but it is a lot thicker and heavier.
Motorola Moto Z Droid Edition has a little bit better screen than Motorola Moto Z3, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a greater pixel amount in each inch of screen and a better resolution of 1440 x 2560px. Moto Z3 counts with just a bit better hardware performance than Moto Z Droid Edition, and although they both have 4 GB of RAM, the Moto Z3 also has a larger number of cores.
The Motorola Moto Z3 and Moto Z Droid Edition have incredibly similar memory to install games and applications, they have an external memory card slot that allows a maximum of 1,95 TB and equal 64 GB internal storage. Moto Z3 and Motorola Moto Z Droid Edition both feature similar cameras, although the Moto Z3 has a smaller camera aperture, a worse 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and a worse resolution camera.
Moto Z3 features a bit longer battery lifetime than Moto Z Droid Edition, because it has a 15% greater battery capacity.
