The Samsung Galaxy M40 has a global score of 85, which is much better than the Motorola Moto Z Droid Edition's 75.6 overall score. Even though Samsung Galaxy M40 is notably newer than the Motorola Moto Z Droid Edition, it's heavier and thicker. Both devices in this comparison review work with Android operating system, but Samsung Galaxy M40 has the previous 10 version and Motorola Moto Z Droid Edition has Android 7.1 Nougat version.

Motorola Moto Z Droid Edition counts with a little sharper screen than Galaxy M40, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a better 1440 x 2560 resolution and a higher display pixel density. The Galaxy M40 counts with just a little better processing power than Moto Z Droid Edition, because it has 2 GB more RAM memory and a larger number of cores (but slower).
