Huawei Mate 20 has a general score of 79.5, which is a little bit better than Motorola Moto Z's general score of 74.5. Both devices in this comparison include Android operating system, but Huawei Mate 20 has newer 9.0 Pie version and Motorola Moto Z has Android 8.0 Oreo version. The Huawei Mate 20 is a noticeably newer device than Motorola Moto Z, although it's incredibly heavier and way thicker.

Huawei Mate 20 features a bit more vivid screen than Moto Z, because although it has a little lower resolution of 1080 x 2244 pixels and much less pixels per screen inch, it also counts with a bigger screen. The Huawei Mate 20 features a bit more powerful processor than Motorola Moto Z, and although they both have a 4 GB RAM memory, the Huawei Mate 20 also has a higher number of cores.

The Motorola Moto Z features a lot bigger storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Huawei Mate 20, because although it has just 32 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with a SD memory card expansion slot that admits a maximum of 1,95 TB. The Huawei Mate 20 counts with a much longer battery performance than Moto Z, because it has a 4000mAh battery capacity against 2600mAh.

Huawei Mate 20 features a bit better camera than Motorola Moto Z, although it has a less mega-pixels resolution back camera and a lower 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, they both have a same size diafragm aperture.

Although Huawei Mate 20 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Motorola Moto Z, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Motorola Moto Z. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy Huawei Mate 20, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Motorola Moto Z, resigning some specs and features.
