The Motorola Edge (2024) is a little bit better than the Moto Z, getting a 78.5 score against 74.5. Both phones we are comparing use Android OS, but Motorola Edge (2024) has older 14 version and Moto Z has Android 8.0 Oreo version. Motorola Edge (2024) is a incredibly newer phone than Moto Z, although it is much heavier and much thicker.
Motorola Edge (2024) features a bit sharper screen than Moto Z, because although it has a bit lower 1080 x 2400 resolution and a much lower pixels density, it also counts with a bigger screen. Motorola Edge (2024) features just a bit bigger memory for applications and games than Motorola Moto Z, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with more internal storage capacity.
Moto Z has an extremely better processing unit than Motorola Edge (2024), although it has a lower amount of RAM memory and 4 less cores (although faster). Motorola Edge (2024) takes slightly better pictures and videos than Motorola Moto Z, and although they both have the same (4K) video resolution, the same video frame rate and a same size diafragm aperture, the Motorola Edge (2024) also has a lot higher 50 megapixels resolution back facing camera.
The Motorola Edge (2024) counts with a superior battery duration than Motorola Moto Z, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity instead of 2600mAh.
Although Motorola Edge (2024) is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Moto Z, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Moto Z. If you want to save a few dollars, you can get Moto Z, and give up a few features and specifications, but you'll get the most with your budget.
