The Motorola Moto G9 Play is just a bit better than the Moto Z, getting a 76.7 score against 74.5. Motorola Moto G9 Play is a newer phone than Moto Z, but it's way heavier and much thicker. Both phones in this comparison review include Android operating system, but the Motorola Moto G9 Play has the previous 10 version and Moto Z has Android 8.0 Oreo.

Moto G9 Play counts with a little faster processing unit than Moto Z, and although they both have a 4 GB RAM memory, the Moto G9 Play also has a higher number of cores (although they are slower). Moto Z has a sharper screen than Moto G9 Play, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a much better resolution of 1440 x 2560px and a way better pixel density.

Motorola Moto Z counts with slightly more storage capacity for games and applications than Motorola Moto G9 Play, because although it has only 32 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with a slot for external memory cards that allows a maximum of 1,95 TB. Moto G9 Play counts with a much better camera than Moto Z, and although they both have the same video definition, the Moto G9 Play also has better 60 frames per second video frame rates, a bigger aperture to take better photos in poorly lited environments and a way more MP camera.

Motorola Moto G9 Play has a way better battery performance than Moto Z, because it has a 5000mAh battery size.
