Motorola Moto Z3 has a score of 77.6, which is just a bit better than the Motorola Moto Z's overall score of 74.5. Motorola Moto Z3's body is newer than Motorola Moto Z's, but it's somewhat heavier and way thicker. Both of these phones work with Android operating system, but the Motorola Moto Z3 has a more recent 9.0 Pie version while Motorola Moto Z has Android 8.0 Oreo version, so it provides the user a couple nice extra features and a performance increase.

Moto Z counts with a slightly better screen than Moto Z3, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a better 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution and a greater pixel amount per display inch. The Moto Z3 features a better memory capacity to store more apps and games than Motorola Moto Z, and although they both have an external SD slot that holds up to 1,95 TB, the Moto Z3 also has 64 GB internal memory capacity.

The Motorola Moto Z3 features a bit more powerful CPU than Moto Z, and although they both have 4 GB of RAM memory, the Motorola Moto Z3 also has a larger number of faster cores. Moto Z3 counts with a camera that is very similar to the camera in Moto Z, although the Moto Z3 has a camera in the back with a lower resolution, a tinier diafragm aperture and a worse (4K) video resolution.

The Moto Z3 has a little better battery lifetime than Motorola Moto Z, because it has a 15 percent larger battery capacity.

Moto Z3 costs a little more money than the Moto Z, but you can get a better phone for that extra money.
