Galaxy Alpha has a global score of 76.3, which is a little bit better than the Moto Z's general score of 74.5. Galaxy Alpha is a lighter but thicker phone than Moto Z. Both of these phones come with Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Alpha has the previous 4.4.4 version and Moto Z has Android 8.0 Oreo.

The Samsung Galaxy Alpha counts with a bit superior CPU than Moto Z, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, and they both have 4 processing cores, the Samsung Galaxy Alpha also counts with an additional graphics co-processor. Motorola Moto Z has just a bit better looking display than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, because it has a way greater screen pixels density, a way better resolution of 1440 x 2560 and a larger display.

Motorola Moto Z takes a bit better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same video definition, the Motorola Moto Z also has a larger diafragm aperture to capture better low-light images and video and a higher 13 MP resolution back-facing camera.

The Moto Z features a much greater storage capacity to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, and although they both have equal internal memory, the Moto Z also has a slot for external memory cards that supports a maximum of 1,95 TB. Motorola Moto Z features a way better battery performance than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, because it has a 2600mAh battery capacity instead of 1860mAh.

Galaxy Alpha is a little more expensive than the Moto Z, but it's still a great choice, as you can get a much better phone for that extra money.
