The Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition is a bit better than Motorola Moto Z, having an 80.4 score against 74.5. Although the Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition is newer than the Motorola Moto Z, it's heavier and way thicker. Galaxy Note Fan Edition and Motorola Moto Z have very similar screens, because although the Galaxy Note Fan Edition has a just a bit inferior pixels amount per inch of display, and they both have the same 1440 x 2560 resolution, it also counts with a quite larger screen.

Galaxy Note Fan Edition features a little faster processor than Moto Z, and although they both have a 4 GB RAM memory, the Galaxy Note Fan Edition also has a greater number of faster cores. The Galaxy Note Fan Edition's camera is very similar to Moto Z's camera, because although the Galaxy Note Fan Edition has a less megapixels camera and a worse 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, it also counts with a larger aperture to take better low light captures and video.

Motorola Moto Z features a better storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition, because although it has less internal memory, it also counts with a SD card slot that holds up to 1,95 TB. The Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition counts with better battery duration than Moto Z, because it has 3200mAh of battery capacity.

Although Galaxy Note Fan Edition is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Moto Z, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Moto Z. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Galaxy Note Fan Edition, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Moto Z, giving up some features and specifications.
