The Xperia XA2 Plus has an overall score of 78.6, which is a little bit better than Moto Z's score of 74.5. Even though the Xperia XA2 Plus is newer than the Moto Z, it is extremely heavier and much thicker. Both of these devices come with the same Android 8.0 Oreo operating system, so you shouldn't see any differences in that aspect.
Moto Z features a little more vivid display than Sony Xperia XA2 Plus, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with more pixels per inch of screen and a better resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. Xperia XA2 Plus has a little faster processing unit than Moto Z, because it has 2 GB more RAM memory and a larger number of 2.2 gigahertz cores.
Moto Z features more memory to store more apps and games than Xperia XA2 Plus, because although it has less internal memory capacity, it also counts with a slot for an SD memory card that allows up to 1,95 TB. The Sony Xperia XA2 Plus features a much better battery life than Moto Z, because it has a 3580mAh battery capacity instead of 2600mAh.
Sony Xperia XA2 Plus shoots just a bit better videos and photos than Moto Z, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture, and they both have the same 30 fps video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Sony Xperia XA2 Plus also counts with a lot better 23 mega pixels resolution back facing camera.
