Motorola Moto Z2 Play's design is newer, lighter and somewhat thinner than Motorola Moto Z Force Droid Edition. The Moto Z Force Droid Edition counts with a bit sharper screen than Moto Z2 Play, and although they both have a same size display, the Moto Z Force Droid Edition also has a higher resolution of 1440 x 2560px and more pixels per inch of screen.
