The Sony Xperia XZ Premium has a score of 79.8, which is just a bit better than Moto Z2 Play's 77.4 general score. Even being the best cellphone in our current comparison, we must tell that it's also a notably heavier and extremely thicker cellphone. The Xperia XZ Premium has a much more vibrant screen than Moto Z2 Play, and although they both have a screen of the same size, the Xperia XZ Premium also has a much higher 2160 x 3840 resolution and a way greater display pixel density.
The Sony Xperia XZ Premium features a bit better CPU than Motorola Moto Z2 Play. They have the same RAM memory amount and a Octa-Core CPU. Moto Z2 Play counts with much more storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Xperia XZ Premium, and although they both have the same internal storage, the Moto Z2 Play also has an external memory slot that holds a maximum of 1,95 TB.
Xperia XZ Premium features a bit better battery lifetime than Moto Z2 Play, because it has an 8% bigger battery capacity. Sony Xperia XZ Premium counts with a bit better camera than Motorola Moto Z2 Play, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not so good for capturing photos and videos in low-light situations, and they both have the same (4K) video resolution and the same 30 fps video frame rate, the Sony Xperia XZ Premium also counts with a back facing camera with way more MP.
