Comparison review

The Motorola Moto Z2 Play is a little bit better than Sony Xperia Z3, having a overall score of 77.4 against 77.3. The Motorola Moto Z2 Play design is newer, noticeably thinner and somewhat lighter than the Sony Xperia Z3. The Xperia Z3 features an incredibly better display than Motorola Moto Z2 Play, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, and they both have the same resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, the Xperia Z3 also counts with a bit higher count of pixels in each display inch.

The Moto Z2 Play has a very superior storage capacity for games and applications than Sony Xperia Z3, because it has an external memory slot that allows up to 1,95 TB and 32 GB more internal storage. The Xperia Z3 has just a little better hardware performance than Motorola Moto Z2 Play, because although it has less cpu cores and a smaller amount of RAM, it also counts with a graphics processor.

The Xperia Z3 captures clearer photos and videos than Moto Z2 Play, because although it has a tinier aperture, and they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Xperia Z3 also counts with a back-facing camera with much more mega-pixels. Xperia Z3 features just a bit longer battery lifetime than Moto Z2 Play, because it has a 3200mAh battery capacity.

Although Motorola Moto Z2 Play is a better device, it costs more than the Sony Xperia Z3, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Sony Xperia Z3. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Motorola Moto Z2 Play, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Sony Xperia Z3, letting go some specs and features.
