The LG Q8 counts with a processing unit that is just as good as Moto Z3 Play's CPU, and although the LG Q8 has 4 less cores (but faster), they both have 4 GB of RAM.
The LG Q8 has a much better display than Moto Z3 Play, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a better pixels amount per inch of display and a better resolution of 1440 x 2560px. The Motorola Moto Z3 Play features a better memory for games and applications than LG Q8, and although they both have a slot for an SD memory card that allows up to 1,95 TB, the Motorola Moto Z3 Play also has more internal storage capacity.
LG Q8's battery performance is very similar to the battery duration in Motorola Moto Z3 Play. LG Q8 features just a bit better camera than Moto Z3 Play, because although it has a smaller camera sensor taking worse quality images and a smaller camera aperture which is not so good for low-light captures, and they both have the same video resolution and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the LG Q8 also counts with a much better resolution back camera.
