Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 is a a lot newer phone than the Moto Z3 Play, but it is thicker and a little bit heavier. Moto Z3 Play features a slightly better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy XCover 5, because it has a better number of pixels per display inch, a lot better 1080 x 2160 pixels resolution and a little larger screen.
Moto Z3 Play has a bigger storage for applications and games than Galaxy XCover 5, and although they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal memory, the Moto Z3 Play also has an external memory slot that holds a maximum of 1,95 TB. The Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 counts with a bit superior processor than Moto Z3 Play. Both of them have 4 GB of RAM and the same number of cores.
Galaxy XCover 5 counts with a battery lifetime that is very similar to the Moto Z3 Play one. The Motorola Moto Z3 Play shoots a little bit better videos and photos than Galaxy XCover 5, because although it has a camera in the back with a much worse 12 MP resolution, it also counts with a larger diafragm aperture to capture better images and video in poorly lited environments and a much higher video definition.
