Comparison review
Xperia 1 III is a lot better than the Moto Z3 Play, getting a 93.3 score against 76.3. Xperia 1 III is a newer phone than Moto Z3 Play, but it is somewhat thicker and heavier. The Xperia 1 III has a bit superior processing unit than Moto Z3 Play, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia 1 III also has more RAM.
Xperia 1 III has a more vivid display than Motorola Moto Z3 Play, because it has a much better pixel count per inch of display, a little bit bigger screen and a way higher resolution of 1644 x 3840px. The Xperia 1 III counts with a very superior memory to install applications and games than Motorola Moto Z3 Play, because although it has an external memory card slot that allows up to 1 TB against 1,95 TB, it also counts with 256 GB internal storage capacity.
The Xperia 1 III has a much longer battery duration than Moto Z3 Play, because it has a 50 percent bigger battery capacity. Xperia 1 III captures better pictures and videos than Moto Z3 Play, and although they both have the same aperture, the same (4K) video definition and a 12 mega-pixels back-facing camera, the Xperia 1 III also has faster video frame rate and a way larger back camera sensor providing a much better image quality.
The Sony Xperia 1 III costs a lot more than Motorola Moto Z3 Play, but it's still a good choice, as you can get a better phone for that extra money.
