The Xperia 1 III has a much longer battery duration than Moto Z3 Play, because it has a 50 percent bigger battery capacity. Xperia 1 III captures better pictures and videos than Moto Z3 Play, and although they both have the same aperture, the same (4K) video definition and a 12 mega-pixels back-facing camera, the Xperia 1 III also has faster video frame rate and a way larger back camera sensor providing a much better image quality.
The Sony Xperia 1 III costs a lot more than Motorola Moto Z3 Play, but it's still a good choice, as you can get a better phone for that extra money.
