Comparison review
The Moto Z3 has an overall score of 77.6, which is just a bit better than Asus ROG Phone's score of 77.1. The Moto Z3 design is notably thinner and noticeably lighter than Asus ROG Phone, although both were released only 2 months apart. The Asus ROG Phone features a bit faster CPU than Motorola Moto Z3, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Asus ROG Phone also has 4 GB more RAM.
Asus ROG Phone counts with a slightly better display than Moto Z3. They have the same pixels density, a display with the same size and the same 1080 x 2160 resolution. Moto Z3 shoots greater photographs and videos than Asus ROG Phone, although it has lower video frame rates, a tinier back camera sensor taking lower quality videos and images and a tinier aperture which is not nice for low light photos, they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution.
The Asus ROG Phone has a much bigger memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Moto Z3, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 512 GB internal memory capacity.
