Comparison review

The Galaxy Note 5 has a score of 79.3, which is a little bit better than Moto Z3's score of 77.6. Even being the best phone we are comparing, Galaxy Note 5 is a noticeably older, a little bit thicker and just a little bit heavier phone than Moto Z3. Both phones in this review come with Android operating system, but the Galaxy Note 5 has older 5.1 version and Moto Z3 has Android 9.0 Pie.

The Galaxy Note 5 has a brighter display than Motorola Moto Z3, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a better resolution of 2560 x 1440px and a greater pixel density. Motorola Moto Z3 has a much greater memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy Note 5, and although they both have equal internal memory, the Motorola Moto Z3 also has a SD memory card expansion slot that supports up to 1,95 TB.

The Moto Z3 counts with a superior hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Note 5, and although they both have 4 GB of RAM, the Moto Z3 also has 7 more CPU cores. Samsung Galaxy Note 5 counts with a little bit better camera than Motorola Moto Z3, and although they both have the same (4K) video resolution and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 also has a back-facing camera with a lot higher resolution, a larger aperture to capture better low light images and video and a bigger back camera sensor providing a better image quality.

Moto Z3 and Galaxy Note 5 count with quite similar batteries duration.

Although Galaxy Note 5 is a better device, it costs more money than Motorola Moto Z3, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Motorola Moto Z3. If you want to save some dollars, you can buy Motorola Moto Z3, and give up a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most with your budget.
