Xperia 1 III's body is newer, just a bit lighter and just a bit thinner than the Motorola One Hyper. The Sony Xperia 1 III has a brighter screen than Motorola One Hyper, and although they both have a display with the same size, the Sony Xperia 1 III also has a way higher resolution of 1644 x 3840 and much more pixels per inch in the screen.

Sony Xperia 1 III features a superior memory for games and applications than Motorola One Hyper, because it has an external SD slot that allows a maximum of 1 TB and more internal memory capacity. Sony Xperia 1 III has a bit better performance than Motorola One Hyper, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Sony Xperia 1 III also has a greater amount of RAM.

The Motorola One Hyper counts with a bit better camera than Sony Xperia 1 III, because although it has worse 30 fps video frame rate and a tinier aperture which is not good for taking photographs and video in poorly lited situations, and they both have the same video resolution, the Motorola One Hyper also counts with a camera with lot more MP.

Xperia 1 III features a bit longer battery lifetime than Motorola One Hyper, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity against 4000mAh.

Although Xperia 1 III is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Motorola One Hyper, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Motorola One Hyper. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Xperia 1 III, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Motorola One Hyper, letting go some features and specs.
