Comparison review

The Xperia 1 has a global score of 82.6, which is a little bit better than the Motorola One Zoom's global score of 80. The Xperia 1 is a just a bit thinner and a bit lighter device than the Motorola One Zoom, even when both were only released with a couple of months difference. The Xperia 1 features a bit more powerful processing unit than Motorola One Zoom, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Xperia 1 also has a larger amount of RAM memory.

The Sony Xperia 1 has a brighter display than Motorola One Zoom, because it has a lot higher number of pixels per inch of screen, a way better resolution of 1644 x 3840px and a little larger display. Motorola One Zoom has a better camera than Xperia 1, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not favorable for low light photography and video, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition, the Motorola One Zoom also counts with faster video frame rate, a much larger sensor providing a much better image quality and a lot more megapixels back camera.

Sony Xperia 1 features a quite bigger memory to install games and applications than Motorola One Zoom, and although they both have equal internal memory, the Sony Xperia 1 also has a slot for an external memory card that allows a maximum of 512 GB. Motorola One Zoom counts with superior battery duration than Xperia 1, because it has a 20% more battery size.

Although Xperia 1 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Motorola One Zoom, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Motorola One Zoom. If you are trying to save some money, you can get the Motorola One Zoom, giving up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your money.
