Galaxy Alpha is slightly better than the Motorola One, with a 76.3 score against 74.3. Both devices in this review work with Android OS, but Galaxy Alpha has an older 4.4.4 version and Motorola One has Android 9.0 Pie. The Galaxy Alpha design is thinner and extremely lighter than Motorola One. The Samsung Galaxy Alpha features a little bit better performance than Motorola One, because although it has 2 GB less RAM and 4 less processing cores , it also counts with a graphics processing unit.
Samsung Galaxy Alpha features a brighter screen than Motorola One, because although it has a quite lower resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and a much smaller screen, it also counts with a little better quantity of pixels per inch of display. The Motorola One has a way bigger storage capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, because it has a slot for an SD memory card that admits up to 256 GB and 32 GB more internal memory capacity.
Motorola One has a slightly better camera than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, and although they both have the same video definition and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the Motorola One also has a better resolution back camera and a bigger diafragm aperture to capture better low-light images and videos.
Motorola One features a way better battery lifetime than Galaxy Alpha, because it has a 61% more battery size.
