The Xperia 1 V is better than Motorola One, having a overall score of 82.7 against 74.3. Both of these phones have Android OS (operating system), but Xperia 1 V has older 13 version and Motorola One has Android 9.0 Pie version. The Xperia 1 V body is much newer than the Motorola One's, although it's somewhat heavier and just a little bit thicker.

Motorola One has a much greater hardware performance than Sony Xperia 1 V, although it has a lower amount of RAM, they both have the same number of cores. Sony Xperia 1 V counts with a much better looking screen than Motorola One, because it has a little bigger screen, a much better 1644 x 3840 resolution and a way higher pixels density.

The Xperia 1 V has a lot better camera than Motorola One, and although they both have the same (4K) video definition, the Xperia 1 V also has a larger diafragm aperture to take better photos and video in poorly lited situations, faster video frame rates and a way higher resolution back camera. Xperia 1 V has a really longer battery lifetime than Motorola One, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity against 3000mAh.
