Motorola Edge 40 is a bit better than the Nokia 7 plus, getting a 77.2 score against 72.2. Motorola Edge 40's construction is much newer, noticeably thinner and a bit lighter than Nokia 7 plus. Nokia 7 plus has a very superior processing power than Motorola Edge 40, although it has lesser RAM, they both have a Octa-Core processor.
Motorola Edge 40 has a little sharper display than Nokia 7 plus, because it has a slightly higher resolution of 1080 x 2400, a little better pixel quantity in each inch of screen, a little larger display and much more brightness. Nokia 7 plus has a bit bigger memory for games and applications than Motorola Edge 40, because although it has only 64 GB internal memory, it also counts with a SD card slot that allows a maximum of 256 GB.
Motorola Edge 40 shoots much clearer pictures and videos than Nokia 7 plus, and although they both have the same (4K) video definition and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the Motorola Edge 40 also has a much bigger aperture for better low light photos, a much larger sensor shooting lot better quality photos and videos and a lot higher resolution back camera.
Motorola Edge 40 features just a bit longer battery duration than Nokia 7 plus, because it has 4400mAh of battery capacity against 3800mAh.
