Comparison review

The Nokia 8 V 5G UW is a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, getting a score of 80.3 against 78.1. Both phones in this review include Android OS, but Nokia 8 V 5G UW has an older 10 version and Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus has Android 4.4.2. The Nokia 8 V 5G UW is a a lot newer device than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, although it is just a little thicker and noticeably heavier.

The Galaxy S5 Plus counts with a more vivid screen than Nokia 8 V 5G UW, because although it has a lot smaller display and a bit lower resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, it also counts with a quite greater pixels density. The Nokia 8 V 5G UW features a superior storage capacity for applications and games than Galaxy S5 Plus, because it has an external SD slot that allows up to 1000 GB and 48 GB more internal storage.

Galaxy S5 Plus counts with a bit better processor than Nokia 8 V 5G UW, because although it has 4 less CPU cores (but faster) and 4 GB less RAM memory, it also counts with an extra GPU. Nokia 8 V 5G UW has a very superior battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, because it has a 61% larger battery size.

Nokia 8 V 5G UW counts with a way better camera than Galaxy S5 Plus, and although they both have the same (4K) video quality, the Nokia 8 V 5G UW also has a bigger diafragm aperture, better video frame rate, a back-facing camera with a lot higher resolution and a lot bigger sensor shooting way higher quality photos.

Although Nokia 8 V 5G UW is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Nokia 8 V 5G UW, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, giving up some specifications.
