Comparison review
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro is slightly better than the nubia Red Magic 5S, getting a 78.7 score against 76.2. These phones use Android operating system, but Huawei Mate 9 Pro has the newer 8.0 Oreo version and nubia Red Magic 5S has Android 10, providing you a couple nice extra features and some performance improvements. Huawei Mate 9 Pro's body is extremely lighter and thinner than the nubia Red Magic 5S, even though it was released many years before.
Huawei Mate 9 Pro features a little more vivid display than nubia Red Magic 5S, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with more pixels per inch of display and a higher 1440 x 2560 resolution. Nubia Red Magic 5S has a bit better processing power than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the nubia Red Magic 5S also has more RAM memory.
Nubia Red Magic 5S captures much clearer videos and photos than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because it has a larger aperture, a way better video quality, a way bigger back-facing camera sensor and a camera in the back with a lot higher 64 mega pixels resolution. Huawei Mate 9 Pro and nubia Red Magic 5S both count with similar memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos, both of them have the same 128 GB internal memory capacity.
Nubia Red Magic 5S features just a little bit longer battery performance than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because it has a 13 percent more battery capacity.
Although Huawei Mate 9 Pro is a better device, it costs more money than nubia Red Magic 5S, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the nubia Red Magic 5S. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can get nubia Red Magic 5S, letting go some specs and features, but you will get the most out of your budget.
