Xperia 1 II is a lot better than the nubia Z20, with a global score of 91 against 71.9. These phones use Android OS (Operating System), but Xperia 1 II has an older 11 version while nubia Z20 has Android 9.0 Pie version. Even when Xperia 1 II and the nubia Z20 were released with only a couple of months difference, Xperia 1 II is thinner and a little lighter.
The Sony Xperia 1 II counts with a little sharper screen than nubia Z20, because it has a lot higher amount of pixels per display inch, a little larger screen and a lot higher resolution of 1644 x 3840. Nubia Z20 has just a bit better performance than Sony Xperia 1 II. They have the same RAM amount and a Octa-Core processing unit.
