The Huawei Mate X has a general score of 89.4, which is much better than the OnePlus 6's overall score of 73.3. These phones come with Android OS, but Huawei Mate X has the newer 9.0 Pie version and OnePlus 6 has Android 11, counting with lots of additional features and some performance improvements. Although Huawei Mate X is newer than the OnePlus 6, it is notably thicker and notably heavier.
OnePlus 6 features a little better processing power than Huawei Mate X. Both have a 8 GB RAM and the same number of cores. The Huawei Mate X features just a bit better looking display than OnePlus 6, because it has a much better resolution of 2200 x 2480, a bigger display and a quite higher screen density.
The Huawei Mate X features a much greater memory capacity to install applications and games than OnePlus 6, because it has 512 GB internal memory capacity. The OnePlus 6 features a much better camera than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a back camera with a much lower 16 megapixels resolution and a much smaller back-facing camera sensor, it also counts with a larger camera aperture to take better low light photos and video.
The Huawei Mate X counts with improved battery lifetime than OnePlus 6, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity.
Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the OnePlus 6, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the OnePlus 6. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy Huawei Mate X, else you can save some money and get the OnePlus 6, giving up some features and specs.
