Comparison review
Sony Xperia 1 III has a score of 93.3, which is much better than OnePlus 6's 73.3 score. Even though Sony Xperia 1 III is a lot newer than the OnePlus 6, it's a little bit heavier and a bit thicker. Both of these phones come with the same Android 11 operating system, so both of them should provide you very similar OS features.
The Xperia 1 III features a little better performance than OnePlus 6, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Xperia 1 III also has more RAM. The Xperia 1 III has a much better display than OnePlus 6, because it has a little bigger screen, a lot higher resolution of 1644 x 3840px and a way better display density.
The Xperia 1 III features a much greater storage to install applications and games than OnePlus 6, and although they both have exactly the same 256 GB internal memory capacity, the Xperia 1 III also has a SD card slot that holds a maximum of 1 TB. The Sony Xperia 1 III has improved battery duration than OnePlus 6, because it has a 36% more battery capacity.
Sony Xperia 1 III takes clearer photographs and videos than OnePlus 6, because although it has a camera in the back with a way lower resolution and a worse 3840x2160 video definition, and they both have a F1.7 diafragm aperture, the Sony Xperia 1 III also counts with a way bigger sensor which provides a lot better photo and video quality.
Although Sony Xperia 1 III is a better device, it costs a lot more money than OnePlus 6, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the OnePlus 6. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy the OnePlus 6, and give up a few features and specs, but you will get the most with your savings.
