The OnePlus 7 Pro 5G is slightly better than the Asus ROG Phone 8, having a global score of 79.8 against 79.5. The OnePlus 7 Pro 5G is a just a bit lighter cellphone than Asus ROG Phone 8, but they have the same thickness. Both phones in this comparison review work with Android operating system, but the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G has older 10 version while Asus ROG Phone 8 has Android 14 version.
The OnePlus 7 Pro 5G features a much more powerful CPU than Asus ROG Phone 8. Both have a Octa-Core processing unit and 12 GB of RAM memory. Asus ROG Phone 8 has just a bit better looking display than OnePlus 7 Pro 5G, because although it has a much lower 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution and a just a little inferior pixel quantity in each display inch, it also counts with a bit bigger screen.
Asus ROG Phone 8 and OnePlus 7 Pro 5G feature similar memory capacity to install applications and games, both have exactly the same 256 GB internal storage capacity. Asus ROG Phone 8 shoots slightly better photos and videos than OnePlus 7 Pro 5G, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not nice for low-light captures and videos, it also counts with a camera in the back with more megapixels, a much larger back camera sensor which provides a lot better photo and video quality and a much higher video quality.
Asus ROG Phone 8 has a much longer battery lifetime than OnePlus 7 Pro 5G, because it has a 5500mAh battery size.
