Galaxy Note8 has a global score of 83, which is a bit better than the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G's global score of 79.8. These phones work with Android OS, but the Galaxy Note8 has the newer 9.0 Pie version and OnePlus 7 Pro 5G has Android 10, so it provides you a lot of extra features. The Galaxy Note8 is an older phone than OnePlus 7 Pro 5G, but Samsung made it just a little lighter and just a bit thinner anyway.

The OnePlus 7 Pro 5G and the Samsung Galaxy Note8 have similar screens, because although the Samsung Galaxy Note8 has a bit worse 1440 x 2960 pixels resolution and a little smaller screen, it also counts with a bit better display density. OnePlus 7 Pro 5G has just a little better processing power than Samsung Galaxy Note8, and although they both have 8 cores, the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G also has 6 GB more RAM memory.

The OnePlus 7 Pro 5G captures greater photos and videos than Galaxy Note8, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G also has a larger aperture for better low-light photography and video, a lot bigger back-facing camera sensor, a way more megapixels camera and higher video frame rates.

OnePlus 7 Pro 5G has a way bigger memory capacity for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal storage capacity. OnePlus 7 Pro 5G features better battery life than Galaxy Note8, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity instead of 3300mAh.
