OnePlus 7 Pro 5G is just a bit better than the Xiaomi Mi Max 2, getting a 79.8 score against 77.5. OnePlus 7 Pro 5G's design is newer and just a little bit lighter than the Xiaomi Mi Max 2's, although it is thicker. The OnePlus 7 Pro 5G has a bit more powerful processing unit than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and although they both have the same number of cores, the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G also has a larger amount of RAM memory.
The OnePlus 7 Pro 5G features a brighter screen than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because it has a little bigger screen, more pixels per screen inch and a way better resolution of 1440 x 3120px. OnePlus 7 Pro 5G has a much better camera than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G also has better 60 fps video frame rates, a much bigger diafragm aperture to take better photography and video in low light situations, a way larger sensor shooting lot higher quality videos and photos and a back facing camera with a way higher 48 megapixels resolution.
The OnePlus 7 Pro 5G features slightly more storage to install games and applications than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal storage capacity. Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has better battery life than OnePlus 7 Pro 5G, because it has a 5300mAh battery capacity instead of 4000mAh.
