Comparison review
Huawei Mate 9 Pro is slightly better than OnePlus 7 Pro, with a general score of 78.7 against 72.3. Huawei Mate 9 Pro is an way older phone than the OnePlus 7 Pro, but it's somewhat lighter and thinner anyway. The OnePlus 7 Pro has a little faster CPU than Huawei Mate 9 Pro. Both of them have a Octa-Core processor and 6 GB of RAM memory.
Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a screen that is very similar to OnePlus 7 Pro's screen, because although the Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a quite lower resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a quite smaller display, it also counts with a quite greater count of pixels in each inch of display. OnePlus 7 Pro captures a lot better photos and videos than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the OnePlus 7 Pro also has a much larger camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors, a lot more mega-pixels back-facing camera, better video frame rate and a much bigger aperture.
The OnePlus 7 Pro and the Huawei Mate 9 Pro both feature extremely similar memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos, both of them have the same internal memory capacity. Huawei Mate 9 Pro and OnePlus 7 Pro count with similar batteries performance.
Although Huawei Mate 9 Pro is a better device, it is way more expensive than the OnePlus 7 Pro, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as OnePlus 7 Pro. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Huawei Mate 9 Pro, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the OnePlus 7 Pro, letting go a couple specifications.
