The Huawei Mate 8 has a general score of 77.4, which is slightly better than the OnePlus 7's 71.6 global score. The Huawei Mate 8 is an a lot older and a bit heavier phone than OnePlus 7, but Huawei was able to build it just a little bit thinner anyway. OnePlus 7 counts with a bit more vivid screen than Huawei Mate 8, because it has a just a little higher screen density, a little bit larger screen and a slightly better resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels.
The Huawei Mate 8 has a lot bigger memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than OnePlus 7, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory, the Huawei Mate 8 also has a SD memory slot that supports up to 128 GB. OnePlus 7 has a little better processing power than Huawei Mate 8, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the OnePlus 7 also has 2 GB more RAM memory.
The Huawei Mate 8 has just a bit longer battery lifetime than OnePlus 7, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity instead of 3700mAh. OnePlus 7 captures much better pictures and videos than Huawei Mate 8, because it has a bigger aperture for better captures and video in poorly lited situations, a way better (4K) video definition and a back-facing camera with lot more megapixels.
Although Huawei Mate 8 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than OnePlus 7, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as OnePlus 7. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can buy OnePlus 7, and give up a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
