Comparison review
The Xperia XZ2 Compact has a score of 79, which is much better than OnePlus 7's overall score of 71.6. Despite of the fact the Xperia XZ2 Compact is older and extremely thicker than OnePlus 7, it's construction is still just a little lighter. These devices come with Android OS, but the Xperia XZ2 Compact has the newer 8.0 Oreo version while OnePlus 7 has Android 11 version, offering a couple additional features and enhanced performance.
Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact features a more vivid screen than OnePlus 7, because although it has a much smaller screen and a bit worse resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels, it also counts with a little bit higher pixels count per display inch. OnePlus 7 features a little bit better hardware performance than Xperia XZ2 Compact, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the OnePlus 7 also has a higher amount of RAM.
The Xperia XZ2 Compact counts with a bigger storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than OnePlus 7, because although it has less internal memory, it also counts with a SD memory card expansion slot that holds up to 400 GB. The OnePlus 7 shoots better photos and videos than Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same video definition, the OnePlus 7 also has a larger sensor capturing higher quality videos and photos, a bigger diafragm aperture to take better captures and video in poorly lited situations and a back-facing camera with much more megapixels.
The OnePlus 7 has better battery duration than Xperia XZ2 Compact, because it has a 29% more battery capacity.
